FROM GLOBAL BRAND TO CAMPUS EXPERIENCE

The British Council is one of the leading establishments for teaching English worldwide. Its certification system is recognised globally, and it currently teaches English in over 100 countries. Space Zero was commissioned to design a network of bilingual schools, one for each country. Our work began by helping translate the British Council brand into an educational experience.

By uncovering what constitutes the school brand (their values, principles and aspirations) we identified what connects deeply with the learners and educators who attend every day. We were able to define what is distinct and differentiated from other schools, locally and across the world.

We then developed a campus experience strategy that would communicate this powerfully to users, from arrival in the morning to departure at the end of the day.

Each space is a bespoke learning environment and is informed by consulting with British Council teaching staff who set out specifically how the spaces will be used and expressed in detail how they themselves prefer to teach.

"Space Zero’s capability to translate our brand into an educational campus-wide experience was simply astonishing."
